Steven Parsonage, a sculler from Norwich Rowing Club and sponsored by Aquaterra Energy continues to excel in his chosen sport.

Since we last spoke to Steven in July 2014, the update below covers the ups and downs of a semi-professional sports person over the last twelve months:

“Steven’s training went well over the winter at the Leander Academy despite a setback from a wrist injury in February which put him out for 6 weeks. However, Steven recovered and managed to catch the eye of the England selectors at Caversham and was selected for Team-GB for the Essen (Germany) Regatta in May. This impressed the selectors enough for Steven to be considered for further events and a lightweight composite club quad (Leander and Oxford Brookes) was put together and entered for Henley. Here they are winning their semi-final with Steven rowing at bow:

They went on to compete well in the final but didn’t win. However, the selectors were pleased with an excellent performance and yesterday they announced on their web-site the Team-GB U23 squad and Steven has been included in the lightweight quad for the U23 world championships to take place in Plovdiv, Bulgaria from 22nd to 26th July.”

Aquaterra Energy wish him the best of luck for the World Championships in July and for the future.
