Aquaterra Energy has been awarded a contract to supply 12 centralisers for a platform in the North Sea.

The existing centralisers have reached their design life and will be replaced with new centralisers designed by Aquaterra Energy. The centralisers, which will be optimised for the customer’s requirements, will be retrofitted around a 24″ OD conductor and conductor guide.

David Ward, Project Manager at Aquaterra Energy said: “We have provided a stringent centraliser design to our client to withstand a minimum lateral force of 15 tonnes, with a 15 year fatigue life. This will ensure that the centralisers last the full life of the asset with no required maintenance.”

Aquaterra Energy has a wealth of in-house experience in the design, fabrication and installation of centralisers, with a supply history to more than 50 customers in over 10 countries. The company offers a complete centraliser package, from initial riser analysis, to tieback engineering and final offshore installation by experienced and professional service technicians. Aquaterra supplies a wide range of centraliser designs from fixed blade conductor centralisers to retrofit, polymer and inner casing centralisers, amongst many others.
