Aquaterra Energy, a leader in global offshore engineering solutions, marks 12 months of significant growth in Aberdeen.
The company has grown its headcount by 150%, bolstering the expertise of its office to focus on engineering, design and execution. The expansion has been driven by the local market’s resurgence and will enable Aquaterra Energy to offer an increased level of client service.
James Larnder, Managing Director at Aquaterra Energy comments: “Aberdeen is a key location as we look to embark on another year of growth. The local market feels refreshed and as we enter 2020 our sights are set on the burgeoning decommissioning market.”
This growth includes the recent hire of industry veteran John McCoubrey as Business Manager. Having held business and engineering roles with Haliburton, Omega Completion Technology and Baker Hughes, McCoubrey brings a wealth of drilling and completions knowledge to the role. Based in the company’s offices on Albyn Terrace, his remit will focus on expanding Aquaterra Energy’s presence in Aberdeen for its key offerings such as its well initiation solution, Well Start, riser systems and decommissioning and well abandonment services.
Larnder adds: “With John onboard, access to his network and our team of highly skilled engineers, we are ready to increase our presence here to deliver results for our clients.”
Aquaterra Energy is poised for more Aberdeen growth, as it expects to bolster its design and project engineering headcount during 2020. The company currently employs more than 120 employees based across its offices in Aberdeen and Norwich, UK, Australia, Norway and Egypt.
