Aquaterra Energy has secured a major contract for a High Pressure Marine Riser System from Apache North Sea Limited.
SERVICES
Rig Floor Tension Table
Requirements
- Tension Tubing/Casing from a jack up during well testing/entry.
- Minimise stack up height at rig floor.
- Field proven technology.
- Variable spaceout.
-
Quick and easy to install.
The Solution
Aquaterra Energy can provide a field proven Rig Floor Tensioning Table, which sits within the Rotary Table’s Master Bushing slot. As a result, the interface with the Casing/Tubing is only just above the Rotary Table, hence significantly reducing the Stack Up height. The upward force is supplied via 3 hydraulically activated jacks, which react against a lower plate and in turn against a large load plate which sits directly on the Rig Floor. As a result the rig time is significantly reduced. Variations in spaceout can be achieved by altering the height of the hydraulic jacks and by inserting the C-plates supplied.
Features & Benefits
- Significantly reduces the Stack Up height at the rig floor as the Tension Table sits only 2” above Rotary Table.
- Rig Time saving when compared to other tensioning methods.
- Allows variation in spaceout.
- Simple to operate.
-
Zone 1 rated.

Client comments
“The system helped greatly on our project as it allowed us to have the rig floor stack up on the 7” riser down to 2ft, this allowed more room for the coil tubing operations to work under the A frame.”
“The system was easy to operate and to handle with the handling equipment supplied.”
