With the knowledge and experience we have in-house, Aquaterra is able to provide engineering services covering all aspects of pipeline and riser installation from analysis through installation and on to final commissioning and operational management.

TOPSIDE PIGGING FACILITIES

Design, fabrication and installation of pig launchers and receivers on topsides, including management of the interface with existing facilities on the older platforms.

RISER ANALYSIS AND INSTALLATION:

Aquaterra has designed and installed several pipeline risers, we are able to offer:

Fast and accurate analysis due to our experienced team of riser analysts.
Improvements in effectiveness and efficiency of design and fabrication.
Production of detailed riser installation plans.
Management of the interface between Aquaterra, installation contractors and diving companies.

PIPELINE INSTALLATION ENGINEERING:

Aquaterra is able to offer the following assistance to Oil Companies:

Onshore

Input into FEED studies for the new pipeline regarding its lay-ability and route selection.
Production of detailed Scopes of Work and preparation of documentation for Tender packages to 3rd party pipeline installation contractors.
Review of Pipeline Installation Contractor’s Procedures.

Offshore

Consultation on approval of operational changes to 3rd party Pipelay Procedures.
Fulfilling the role of Company Representative onboard contractor’s vessels for pipelay activities.

PIPELINE PRE-COMMISSIONING:

Following pipeline installation, precommissioning is vital to ensure the line has been installed correctly and
without leaks or dents. Aquaterra has significant experience in providing precommissioning services to clients. We offer:

Production of pre-commissioning procedures.
Design and Fabrication of sub-sea pig launching and receiving heads.
Supply of commissioning spreads including pumping and testing equipment.
Performance of pre-commissioning (subsea flange to subsea flange) offshore involving, cleaning, gauging and hydrotesting.

PIPELINE COMMISSIONING AND LIFE-SPAN OPERATION:

Following hook-up of the risers to the pipeline, Aquaterra can perform:

Production of commissioning procedures.
Design and Fabrication of sub-sea pig launching and receiving heads.
Supply of commissioning spreads including pumping and testing equipment.
Performance of pre-commissioning (subsea flange to subsea flange) offshore involving, cleaning, gauging and hydrotesting.
Performance final commissioning (topside to topside) offshore including pigging and hydrotesting.
Development of pipeline pigging philosophies for the lifetime of the pipeline.
Development of through-life inspection and maintenance plans for the pipeline.
Assessment of any future dents or anomalies found during inspection.
