Aquaterra acquire brand new riser system
Innovative engineering company Aquaterra Energy has purchased a brand new 13 5/8” 10k surface riser to broaden their available product range.
The NACE compliant 13 5/8” 10k riser, is now stored at the Norwich-based company’s expansive warehouse. The newly purchased riser system will enable Aquaterra to offer clients 55ft of riser section to rent, that is divided into varying spool lengths to provide optimum space-out.
The riser package also includes a 13 5/8” 10k Speedloc II connector. A Speedloc II pressure test stump and running tool are also available to assist in servicing and installation of the riser system.
Aquaterra’s Sales & Marketing Manager, Andy McDowell commented on the advantages of using this system, “The Speedloc II connector offers rig time saving, the connection only takes a maximum of 15 minutes to make, compared to a flange which can be as time consuming as 3 ½ hours. The running tool also allows the riser to be made up offline and pressure tested, which too, saves valuable rig time.”
Further equipment is also available to rent from Aquaterra including crossover spools and blind flanges.
The purchase marks another progression for Aquaterra into the riser rental sector after recently entering this market.
