FAT/SIT of second Seaswift platform commenced
Aquaterra Energy's second Seaswift platform is now structurally complete. The FAT (Factory Acceptance Tests) and SIT (Systems Integration Tests) commenced earlier this month. Process equipment has been test fitted onto the topside structure and will be tied in, hooked up and function tested where possible. The tests are due for completion towards the end of July.
The SIT will act as a 'dry run' for the offshore hook up and commissioning. Any unforeseen problems which occur during the the SIT will be rectified and documented. The information gathered will be used for the offshore hook up and commissioning of our first Seaswift platform to save on rig time. Installation of the first platform in West Africa is scheduled for July/August 2007.
