Aquaterra’s first Golf Invitational
Aquaterra hosted their first Golf Invitational at Sprowston Manor Hotel & Country Club in Norwich on Tuesday 15th September.
36 golfers teed off at 11.30 on a slightly windy but dry day. A mixture of Aquaterra staff, clients and suppliers set off on the 18-hole Par 71 course. Beginners and experienced golfers alike tackled the bunkers and rough of the championship course with style and flair. The refreshment buggy kept golfers nourished and well hydrated with pit stops at each pin.
After a day of exciting play, the golfers retreated to the 19th for a hard earned beverage and evening meal. With much anticipation and speculation, the prizes were announced. The prize field covered everything from the best team to the worst player. Trophies were excitedly received, certain to take pride of place on the golfer’s desks.
A charity auction followed to raise money for Aquaterra’s chosen charity, the Big C Norfolk & Waveney. Kind donations were received from clients and suppliers for the auction and sporting memorabilia from championship football clubs. Impressively over £3,600 was raised for the Big C.
Brett Ward, event organiser, commented: “It’s great to see that everyone enjoyed the day and thank you to all who donated and took part in the charity auction. We look forward to seeing everyone at Aquaterra’s second golf invitational next year.”
