Aquaterra row for charity
Aquaterra Energy took part in the Dragon Boat event on Sunday 26th July to raise money for the Anthony Nolan Trust.
The enthusiastic ‘Aquaterrors’ team competed to raise money for the Anthony Nolan Trust that helps people with leukaemia. An independent charity, the Anthony Nolan Trust relies on the fundraising of individuals and organisations to help them carry out lifesaving work which includes finding potential donors and conducting research.
This year’s exhilarating event took place at Whitlingham Broad in Norfolk. The Dragon Boat race has become a popular team event where the drummer beats out a rhythm for the paddlers to race the 30ft Hong Kong style dragon boats and it is the second consecutive year that Aquaterra Energy have taken part. 21 boats entered and team ‘Aquaterrors’ achieved an excellent result, finishing in 6th place; an improvement of 2 places from last year’s efforts at Oulton Broad in Suffolk.
Aquaterra were sponsored by regional suppliers Morgan Cooper, Independent Lifting, Oceanscan, Panalpina and Kirklands. The corporate sponsors and the fundraising of the Aquaterra team raised over £1000 for the Anthony Nolan Trust.
