Aquaterra working with the community
Charitable donations, fundraisers and sponsorships have become part of Aquaterra Energy’s culture. Since their formation in June 2005, their growth as a company has been matched by their support to the community. From local to national causes, Aquaterra are supporting the community on a growing scale.
One of the local causes supported, the Norfolk Community Foundation, is an organisation that awards grants to local groups and projects that are in real need of funding. A significant difference can be made to the community and the people that the Norfolk Community Foundation serves with the help of donations. Aquaterra Energy has also donated to Asperger East Anglia for the past three years who offer much needed assistance to sufferers of Asperger syndrome and their families.
On a national scale, Aquaterra Energy has donated to the NSPCC, FSID (The Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths) and Cancer Research UK to name a few. Staff play an integral part in helping the community, suggesting contributions to charities that are close to their hearts.
Alongside donations, Aquaterra are keen to sponsor and encourage fundraising events. A company director’s wife completed a challenging trek along the Great Wall of China in 2008 to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care and a local Haematology Nurse trekked in the Andes to raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust, both of which were sponsored and supported by Aquaterra Energy.
Aquaterra Energy is a rapidly expanding company, one that doesn’t just want to make a difference to the oil and gas industry but the community also.
