Aquaterra get 'fuzzy' for men's health

November at Aquaterra saw a marked increase in handlebars, goatees and Salvador Dali moustaches as a handful of gents took on the challenge to sprout whiskers for ‘Movember’.

Movember is the annual event that is responsible for fuzzy faces all over the globe during the 30 days of November. The aim of Movember is to raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and other cancers that affect men.

‘Mo Bros’ at Aquaterra were keen to show their support for the cause by growing some rather unique moustaches. Those that took part had varied levels of success, from full blown moustaches and handlebars, to barely visible fluff on fuzzy challenged participants! £482 was raised by staff and doubled by Aquaterra to reach a grand total of £964.

The funds raised in the UK support the number one and two male specific cancers - prostate and testicular cancer and are directed towards programmes that are run directly by Movember and their men’s health partners, The Prostate Cancer Charity and the Institute of Cancer Research. Proceeds from Movember will help to support initiatives in awareness and education, survivorship and research.
