ISO 9001

ISO 9001 is the internationally recognised standard for an organisation's internal Quality Management. An organisation's 'Quality Management' refers to an organisation's actions to ensure that its products or services satisfy its customers' quality requirements and complies with any regulations applicable to those products or services. Aquaterra was awarded ISO 9001 certification in June 2006 following an audit by NQA.

Aquaterra was awarded ISO 14001 certification in December 2009 for its Environmental Management System. ISO 14001:2004 is a management tool enabling an organisation to identify and control the environmental impact of its activities, products or services and to improve its environmental performance.

FPAL

First Point Assessment (FPAL) is the oil and gas supply chain database for the UK and The Nertherlands and is a division of Achilles Information Limited.
FPAL is the key tool used by oil & gas purchasers to identify and select current and potential suppliers when awarding contracts or purchase orders. Aquaterra Energy joined FPAL in 2006.
Achilles

Achilles is one of the largest supplier management service providers in the world, helping companies to manage commercial, health, safety, environmental and corporate social responsibility-related risks across the supply chain.
Its services span a range of industry sectors, and clients include more than 500 of the world’s largest companies. Aquaterra Energy became a member of Achilles in November 2007.
IMechE

The Institution of Mechanical Engineers is the fastest growing professional engineering institution in the UK. It is an institution that helps support the world of engineering by sharing knowledge and publicising the achievements of its members and the industry. The Institution helps aspiring new talent build their careers and become established engineers. Aquaterra was awarded IMechE accreditation in July 2008.
ICE

the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) is a registered charity that works to promote and progress civil engineering. The Institute believes that civil engineers are "at the heart of society, delivering sustainable development through knowledge, skills and professional expertise." A qualifying body, the ICE are a centre for the exchange of specialist knowledge and a provider of resources.
Today, the ICE represents nearly 80,000 members worldwide. Aquaterra's training scheme was approved by ICE in October 2010.
HSBC Business Thinking Regional Winner 2010

Aquaterra Energy was crowned the Regional Winner for the East of England in the HSBC Business Thinking Awards 2010. Following a 'Thought Exchange' trip to China, Aquaterra's innovative approach to business impressed the judges.
EDP International Enterprise and Business of the Year 2010

Aquaterra Energy had a double win at the EDP Business Awards in October 2010, securing the International Enterprise and Business of the Year award. Judges were impressed at how Aquaterra exports both Norfolk skills and innovation across the world and is establishing industry and higher education links within the county.
Exchange Champion Employer Award 2010
Aquaterra’s commitment to working with local schools and students was recognised when they received the Champion Employer Award in June 2010 at The Exchange Employer Awards. Aquaterra's consistent support within Norfolk was praised which has included introducing Summer Placement Schemes and taking part in the Engineering Education Scheme.
Queen's Award for Enterprise: International Trade 2009

Aquaterra Energy proudly received the Queen's Award for Enterprise: International Trade in 2009; one of the most prestigious forms of recognition for UK companies.
Aquaterra’s International Trade was rewarded in 2009 for providing services to over 50 customers in 17 countries worldwide and achieving more than 90% of turnover from exports.
The national recognition of a Queen’s Award confirms Aquaterra’s establishment as a leading and dependable supplier to the International Oil and Gas industry.
Norfolk Best Employer Award 2008

Aquaterra won the Highly Commended award for Best Employer (less than 100 employees) in November 2008 at the Norfolk Recruitment Awards. The award is presented to local companies and businesses within Norfolk who have achieved the most in terms of encouraging, developing and rewarding their staff. Aquaterra Energy has shown outstanding commitment to its employees and has been recognised as an exceptional place to work.
EDP Best New Business Award 2007

Aquaterra Energy was the winner of the Best New Business Award in 2007 at the EDP Business Awards. The judges were impressed by the quality and commitment of a dynamic workforce, providing a first-class service to customers worldwide. Aquaterra were also recognised for working hard to address the Norfolk skills gap, with a summer student programme in place and a graduate recruitment scheme.
